Illustrated readings, and room to write

September 2026 · From symbolic cards to illustrated context and a ruled reflection page.

The reading becomes a visual encounter

The September material looks quite different from July. The multicoloured wordmark replaces the earlier red mark. In the illustrated reading, a branch and a stack of stones give Yin Wood and Yin Earth a visible presence before the explanation below them.

The screen still names the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch, but it pairs those terms with short explanations and a practical sentence. Illustration, terminology, and interpretation have different jobs here. The imagery is part of how the reading is introduced, rather than a decoration added after the text.

Giving the writing its own space

The web reflection capture shows another visible shift. A dated prompt sits above a ruled writing surface. The placeholder invites a response to that prompt or whatever is on the person’s mind. The writing area occupies most of the screen.

The September 21 editor record documents the removal of the separate daily-question/free-writing toggle and the use of a shared paper component. Existing drafts and their original prompt were preserved. The screen no longer needs a mode switch to explain that both kinds of writing belong here.

Keep the versions clear

The illustrations are shown in an app screenshot supplied for the project, while the ruled editor is a saved web capture displaying September 23. They document the same broader visual direction, but they are not evidence that both platforms shipped the editor change together.

The editor release note explicitly separates the web export from a future native build. That distinction matters when looking back through the screenshots. This milestone records the illustrated reading and the more spacious writing interface; it does not claim an App Store release or a result from user testing.
