Milestone 04 / Thredd
Return is a design requirement.
Safe return has to shape the invitation, the reading order, and the record itself.
Thredd begins with a familiar difficulty: missing time in a journal can make returning feel harder. A practice built around safe return needs to behave differently at the moment someone opens it again.
The later reading direction reduces the amount someone needs to understand before reflecting. A visual orientation comes first, followed by plain language and a prompt. Traditional context and deeper explanation remain available without taking over the first encounter.
Morning and evening prompts acknowledge that returning happens in different circumstances. Preserving the prompt with the reflection also protects its meaning later. A sentence in Tapestry belongs to a moment and an invitation, rather than becoming an isolated piece of text.
This is where product philosophy becomes a data and interaction decision. Keeping a draft through authentication and retaining its original prompt are part of making return feel ordinary.
