CeraVe in the morning. Palmer’s at night.

Two products I keep coming back to, for different reasons.

They fit different parts of my day

I use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream in the morning and Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil at night. This is about what I like using, not a claim that the same combination will suit everyone.

I don’t want a sticky feeling in the morning

The CeraVe cream doesn’t leave me feeling sticky or oily, and there isn’t a fragrance competing with my perfume. I think this was my second tub when I wrote the original notes.

Those are the things that make it easy for me to keep using.

Palmer’s feels familiar at night

The original 150 mL bottle photographed for the review.

The oil feels soothing and warm to me. I think I was on my third bottle.

It had become a familiar choice: something I already knew I liked.

I wish the bottle were a little bigger

The photo shows my almost-empty 150 mL bottle. I’d like a slightly larger one.

The remaining oil was hard to see, too. Being able to tell how much is left would help.

It’s how they fit around everything else

In the morning, I care about what stays on my skin and whether it competes with perfume. At night, I like the feel of the oil.

Those are ordinary reasons, but they’re why I keep reaching for them.
